FAQ
What is the cost of lessons?
Lessons are $35 for 30-minute sessions or $65 for 60-minute sessions. Lessons are scheduled monthly, one per week. Single lessons can be scheduled for an additional $5. There is also a one time Registration Fee of $35 per student.
Can I do a Trial lesson to see if the teacher is a good fit for myself or my child?
Because our teachers are compensated based on total time taught, we do not offer a free trial lesson. We can, however, schedule a single lesson at the single lesson rate.
How are lessons billed?
Lessons are billed on a monthly basis with payments drawn automatically on the first of every month via debit or credit card. We do not accept cash or check for lesson payments. Monthly prices may vary depending on the quantity of lessons scheduled for each month. For example, if there are 5 weeks worth of lessons in a month, you will be charged for five lessons instead of four.
Can I change which card is being billed?
Yes! All you need to do is call (747)245-3373 or email [email protected] and provide them with the new card information.
What if I have a scheduled vacation or absence?
If you know you will be absent in advance, you can let us know by the 25th of the preceding month and we will be able to adjust the billing. All other absences MUST give 24 hours notice or the lessons will be considered No-Shows.
What about lesson make ups?
Generally we do not offer make up lessons and we expect students and parents to commit to the schedule they have signed up for. However, we understand things happen. Lessons are only eligible for make ups if we are notified at least 48 hours before the lesson, or if the student can produce a doctors note for the day/time the original lesson was scheduled. Even so, rescheduling is at the discretion of the teacher and some of our more popular teachers may not have room in their monthly schedule for make ups. Lessons will not be refunded unless the teacher cancels or there are extenuating circumstances.
What do we need to bring to the lesson?
The students are expected to bring all necessary supplies to their lessons, including instruments, books or other materials as required by the teacher. If you need an instrument, we are more than happy to help you with a rental or purchase! (Keyboard and drum students will have an instrument provided in the lesson room but will need their own instrument for at-home practice).
How can I discontinue lessons?
Lessons MUST be canceled by the 25th to avoid being charged for the next month. Refunds will not be given for any remaining lessons. Lessons can be discontinued simply by emailing our lesson coordinator at [email protected]. You will receive confirmation once the lessons and billing have been canceled.
